The stress in the brain can predict, how the body reacts physically to stressful situations. This is an important reference because some people have a stronger physical reaction to stress.
Physical reactions to the body can lead to worse, as the heart beats faster and blood pressure rises higher. This excessive stress reaction can be bad in the long term.
People whose blood pressure increases in these stressful situations are likely to develop high blood pressure in the future.
They also have an increased risk of death from heart disease, according to a study published Aug. 23, 2017 in the Journal of The American Heart Association.
Blood pressure and heart rate rise
To study the relationship between stress in the brain and the reactions that occur in the body, the researchers performed brain scans of more than 300 adults while monitoring physical responses, such as blood pressure and heart rate.
The findings of the study show that people who react stronger to physical stress include those who are in the blood pressure category and their heart rate rises higher.
However, this study does not prove, the increased activity in certain parts of the brain in response to stress that can cause physical changes in the body.
